Kurdistan Region PM Masrour Barzani Extends Eid al-Fitr Greetings, Stresses Tolerance and Peaceful Coexistence
Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), issued a heartfelt congratulatory message on Saturday marking the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, urging unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among all communities.
In his message, Barzani extended his warmest wishes to Muslims across Kurdistan, Iraq, and the world, with special recognition for the Peshmerga forces, internal security personnel, and the families of martyrs and wounded heroes. He expressed hopes that the Eid would bring joy, peace, and prosperity to all.
“As we celebrate this blessed Eid, we draw inspiration from its values of forgiveness, brotherhood, and cooperation,” Barzani stated. He called on the people to use the occasion as an opportunity to reinforce peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among different ethnic and religious groups in the region and beyond.

The Prime Minister also prayed that God would accept the fasting and prayers of the faithful and that the occasion would serve as a renewed commitment to stability, prosperity, and harmony.
“May this Eid be a source of happiness and reassurance for all, and may every year find our people in good health and prosperity,” Barzani concluded.
Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, is celebrated with prayers, family gatherings, and acts of charity across the Muslim world. Barzani’s message aligns with the KRG’s ongoing efforts to promote social cohesion and intercommunal dialogue in the diverse Kurdistan Region.
