The Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Region met, on Wednesday, headed by Masrour Barzani, to discuss the rise in gasoline prices and ways to provide white oil, in addition to other issues.

The Department of media and Information stated that the meeting held in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani.

The topics discussed in the meeting include, first, the discussion and presentation of the results of the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to the Kurdistan Region. They also discussed the results of the regional government's participation in the last strategic dialogue session between Iraq and the United States.

Second: Presenting the steps taken by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Finance and Economy and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to implement the Cabinet's decision to provide white oil to citizens and the problem of high gasoline prices.

Third: Presenting the results of the meeting of ministers, governors, and supervisors concerned with independent administrations, headed by the Council of Ministers, on August 29, 2021, regarding solving the problems of baked goods and the rise in bread prices, and facilitating and supporting the relevant ministries in this field. .

Finally, presenting the steps taken by the Ministry of Municipality, Tourism, Agriculture and Water Resources and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to confront the problem of providing fresh water to citizens.
