ERBIL — A total of 126 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Kurdistan Region within the past 24 hours, whereas 970 others recovered from the infectious disease, Health Ministry said on Monday.

According to the lates updates provided by the ministry, the total number of infections since the beginning of the outbreak in March 2020 has now reached 104,528, from which 80,940 have so far recovered.

There remain 20,162 active cases across the four provinces of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, and Halabjah.

Today’s report from the ministry also confirmed two fatalities related to COVID-19, saying the overall death toll now stands at 3,426.
