ERBIL - The jihadists of the Islamic State (IS) on Wednesday night killed one civilian and abducted five people in the disputed Kurdish town of Khanaqin, an officials said.

Shamall Abdulrahman, a security chief in the area, told BasNews that the militants had set up a fake checkpoint in the village of Dakai Nwri Mikail of Khanaqin town, where they killed a civilian and burned his car.

They also kidnapped two brothers who were identified as Saman and Luqman, Abdulrahman added.

Meanwhile, head of Khanaqin Police Azad Issa explained to BasNews that the insurgents also abducted three farmers on Wednesday.
