ERBIL - France has firmly condemned the recent bombardments by the Syrian regime and Russia in the rebel-held province Idlib, as scores of civilians have been killed in the attacks.

The Syrian regime and Russia have lately intensified their bombardments in Idlib to recapture the region. The attacks have also displaced nearly 250,000 civilians recently.

France on Friday called for immediate de-escalation in Idlib. It noted that Russia and China should bear the responsibility.
