Turkey, Russia Complete Sixth Joint Patrol in Syria
ERBIL - As part of an agreement between the sides to force the Kurdish fighters withdraw from the region, the Turkish and Russian forces concluded the sixth round of joint patrols in north of Syria on Thursday.

"Turkish and Russian units accompanied by UAVs completed the sixth joint land patrol in the east of the Euphrates as planned," the Turkish defense ministry said in a statement, as cited by Xinhua.

"In sixth land patrol carried out in the Darbasiyah region, four vehicles from each side were joined by UAVs. Turkish and Russian units completed the patrol in an area of 45 km in length and 8 to 9 km in depth."

Turkey began an offensive against the Kurdish forces in northeast of Syria on October 9, after which, Ankara reached two separate agreements with Washington and Moscow to halt its bombardments and let the Kurdish fighters leave the region.
