Iran's Centrifuges Operation Means Its Withdrawal from Nuclear Deal: Macron
Macron made the remarks at a press conference during a trip to China, a day after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced that Tehran would start injecting uranium gas into 1,044 centrifuges, another step to diminish the country's commitment to the nuclear agreement.
The French president said "I think that for the first time, Iran has decided in an explicit and blunt manner to leave the JCPOA [nuclear] agreement, which marks a profound shift," according to Reuters.
"I will have discussions in the coming days, including with the Iranians, and we must collectively draw the consequences."
US President Donald Trump withdrew from the deal over a year ago, with Iran continuing to scaling back from it.
