ERBIL - Iraqi PM Adil Abdul-Mahdi has called on the political parties to come together on the conclusion of the new government as they did on passing the budget bill for the year of 2019 on Wednesday.

Earlier on Wednesday, Iraqi lawmakers passed a measure from 2019’s budget bill that guarantees the monthly salaries for Peshmerga forces and public servants of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

Abdul-Mahdi expressed content for the move by the Council of Representatives, pointing out that it was done through coordinations and understanding between the government and the parliament.

Earlier the week, the premier sent a couple of new candidates for the ministerial posts of education and justice, according to an official document signed by the premier. However, the interior and defense ministries have so far remained vacant.
