PYD Rejects Salih Muslim’s Visit to Kurdistan Region
ERBIL — The Democratic Union Party (PYD) has refuted the reports claiming that the party’s founder and former co-chair, Salih Muslim, had recently visited the Kurdistan Region.

Multiple sources said that Muslim, accompanied by a delegation from the Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM), had travelled to Erbil. However, the sources could not confirm the agenda of Muslim’s trip and possible meetings he had in Kurdistan’s capital.

PYD Representative to Kurdistan Region, Sileman Arab, refuted the reports in a statement to BasNews and called them “a psychological warfare against our people”.

Arab noted that Muslim is now in Qamishlo.

Asked about why reports of Muslim’s trip to Erbil could be interpreted as “psychological warfare” against the people of Syrian Kurdistan (Rojava), Muslim said Turkey, through its military assaults and media propaganda, is attempting to convince the public that the Syrian Kurdish leaders are defeated and they are escaping.
