Germany Training Peshmerga on Protection against Chemical Attacks
A Peshmerga officer confirmed to Kurdistan24 that 14 Kurdish officers are currently in Germany receiving special trainings which are scheduled to continue until January 20.
The training is believed to help the Peshmerga with safety measurements on the frontline where the Islamic State (IS) militants may possibly use chemical weapons against them.
Peshmerga ministry has already published reports demonstrating evidences which prove that the IS militants have, on various occasions and different areas, used chemical weapons both against Peshmerga and civilians.
Kurdish officials have been constantly demanding the US-led coalition forces to provide them with chemical protective gears, complaining that the aid in this field are not sufficient comparing to the serious danger facing the Peshmerga.
