During his visit to Baghdad today, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon spoke with Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani by phone to thank the KRG for its support for the Iraqi IDPs and the Syrian refugees, and stated the UN would continue to help the KRG looking after the IDPs and refugees.

The UN Secretary General also lauded the progress in the relations between Erbil and Baghdad and that efforts are underway to resolve the outstanding disputes between the two sides.
