President Masoud Barzani held a phone conversation on Friday evening with Mr. Tom Barrack, the United States Ambassador to Türkiye and the US Special Envoy for Syria, to discuss recent developments in the region and the situation in Syria.

According to the discussion, both sides exchanged views on the current political landscape in the Middle East, with a particular focus on the escalating tensions in Syria, especially in the city of Aleppo. The talks highlighted concerns over the security and humanitarian implications of the ongoing instability.

President Barzani and the US Special Envoy stressed the importance of exerting all possible efforts to reduce tensions, restore normalcy, and pursue meaningful steps aimed at achieving security, stability, and lasting peace in Syria and the wider region.
