Today, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, held a meeting with the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Bagheri, and his accompanying delegation. The discussions centered on strengthening bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iran.

During the meeting, both sides agreed on the need to enhance relations in ways that serve their mutual interests. Prime Minister Barzani extended his condolences on the recent passing of the Iranian President, Foreign Minister, and their accompanying officials. He also conveyed his appreciation for the Kurdistan Regional Government's support and facilitation for Iranian pilgrims visiting holy sites in central and southern Iraq.
