In a significant development for the education sector, Dr. Alan Hama Saeed, the Minister of Education in the Kurdistan Region's government, announced a series of accomplishments during a ceremony held in the Jin neighborhood of the Daratoo area near the capital city, Erbil.

Under the leadership and direct guidance of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the 9th cabinet has demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing the educational landscape in the region. Minister Hama Saeed proudly declared that dozens of new schools have been successfully constructed, while hundreds of existing schools have undergone necessary maintenance in various regions of the Kurdistan Region.

The latest achievement in this ongoing endeavor was the inauguration of a brand-new school in the Jin neighborhood, an event attended by the media, dignitaries, and education officials. This school stands as a testament to the government's dedication to providing quality education facilities for the region's youth.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Hama Saeed expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Masrour Barzani for his unwavering support and vision in driving the education sector forward. He also disclosed that construction work is currently underway for an additional 17 schools in Erbil, further strengthening the educational infrastructure in the area.

In his detailed update on the progress made during the term of the 9th cabinet, Minister Hama Saeed highlighted that an impressive total of 80 schools have been successfully constructed, and an additional 1800 schools have undergone essential maintenance to ensure a conducive learning environment. Furthermore, a staggering 4500 new classrooms have been added to existing schools, accommodating the growing number of students seeking quality education.

With the clear aim of providing accessible education to every child in the Kurdistan Region, Minister Hama Saeed also disclosed that a dedicated budget has been allocated to establish a thousand more schools, with a focus on underserved areas.

Additionally, the Prime Minister's directive to maintain and improve 18 schools in the Kafri district, within the boundaries of the independent administration of Garmian, further demonstrates the government's commitment to equitable access to education.
