Israel warns citizens abroad of attacks by Iran
The warning covers countries in the region such as Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain as well as states in Africa, the anti-terrorism department of the Security Council said late Thursday or early Friday.
There is concern that recent threats from Iran will be followed by action.
The nuclear physicist and rocket expert Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was killed a week ago in an attack in a suburb of the Iranian capital Tehran. The background is unclear, but the government in Tehran blames the US and Israel for the assassination.
Israeli politicians have not commented on the attack.
