ERBIL — An ammunition depot in Sulaymaniyah caught fire on Sunday morning which led to an explosion without casualties.

A spokesperson for the 70th Unit of the Peshmerga Forces confirmed the report and said the incident was under investigation.

No one was hurt, the spokesperson told BasNews, without commenting on the material damages at the site of the explosion.

Previous incidents in Kurdistan almost all indicated poor conditions of storing ammunition, and this latest explosion is believed to be due to the same reason.
