ERBIL - Flight suspension between Iraq and Turkey has been extended for another month once again due to the coronavirus outbreak in the region.

Speaking to Kurdistan 24, Ahmed Hoshyar, head of Erbil International Airport, pointed out that the temporary halt of flights was at the request of the Turkish health minister to better deal with the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

This also affects the two major airports in the Kurdistan Region.

According to the official, flights will only be allowed for those who want to return to Iraq from Turkey.
