ERBIL — Iraq on Sunday reported 2,312 new cases of the novel coronavirus that were detected within the past 24 hours.

The Health Ministry of Iraq said the new infections have raised the total number of cases across the country to 77,506.

The ministry has also recorded 95 deaths within the past 24 hours, the statement said, bringing the death toll up to 3,150.

Out of the total number, 155 were recorded in Sulaymaniyah province and 104 in Erbil.
