ERBIL - More than 20 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Kurdistan Region on Wednesday evening, the health ministry said.

At least 19 people were found infected with the coronavirus in Garmiyan area, the ministry said, adding that another three cases were also registered in Duhok province.

The new reports take the total number of people so far diagnosed with coronavirus infections in the region to 1,667, the ministry noted.

The Kurdistan Region has so far recorded 546 recoveries and 30 deaths since the outbreak of coronavirus in the region.
