Netanyahu Condemns Turkish Attack Against Syrian Kurds
ERBIL - Breaking silence after several days, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned on Thursday the recent Turkish incursion into Syria against the Kurdish forces in northeast of the country.

"Israel strongly condemns the Turkish invasion of the Kurdish areas in Syria and warns against the ethnic cleansing of the Kurds by Turkey and its proxies," Netanyahu wrote on Twitter.

He also reaffirmed Tel Aviv's readiness to provide humanitarian assistance to the "gallant" Kurdish people.

"Israel is prepared to extend humanitarian assistance to the gallant Kurdish people."

A few hours later, US Senator Lindsay Graham showed his support in a statement on Twitter to Netanyahu's remarks and said that he "could not agree with Prime Minister @netanyahu more."

"Turkey’s invasion of northern Syria attacking one of America’s most reliable allies – the Kurds -- is a nightmare for the US and Israel," Graham added.

Turkey began its operation in Syria on Wednesday, since then, tens of civilians have been either killed or wounded due to the continuous bombardments, human rights groups reported.
