ERBIL — Kurdistan Region President said comprehensive plans are required to attract more foreign investments to Iraq and Kurdistan Region.

During a meeting with Iraq’s Planning Minister Nouri al-Dilemi in Erbil, Barzani said progress towards a better economy needs comprehensive plans in administration and finance.

For this purpose, he said, the governments in Iraq and Kurdistan Region need to offer facilitations in foreign investments to help the growth of economy.

Barzani and Dilemi also discussed the census which is planned for 2020, agreeing that close coordinations are required between Erbil and Baghdad.

They also discussed the 2020’s federal budget bill, as well as the efforts to reconstruct and rehabilitate the areas affected by IS war.
