ERBIL — Prominent Kurdish leader and the president of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, on Thursday received Dominique Mas, the French consul general to Erbil.

During the meeting, Mas hailed the close relations between Erbil and Paris, and reiterated his country’s commitment to further fostering ties.

Barzani described the bilateral relations as “friendly”, and pointed out that Kurdistan Region seeks continued close cooperation with France.
