Turkish Jets Bombard Kurdistan Border
ERBIL - Turkish warplanes carried out on Thursday night airstrikes in Bradost mountains, northern Erbil province, allegedly targeting the positions of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the area.

Kurdistan 24 cited its correspondent in the region as saying that the jets bombarded the villages of Lelkan, Gorasha, Khalifan, and Siran, focusing more on Mount Del.

The airstrikes were conducted at around 11:00 pm, Erbil time, according to the report, noting that Turkish army has bases in the area as well.

No further details are currently available on possible casualties due to the air raids.

There is a decades-long military confrontation between the PKK and Turkish army over the Kurdish question in Turkey. The Kurdish armed group is designated as a "terrorist organization" by Ankara.
