Kurdish Language and Culture Helped Kurds to Survive: PM Barzani
“Kurdish language and culture are our identity,” Barzani pointed out during an event to pay tribute to kalimolla Tawhidi, a Kurdish intellectual from Kurdish community of Khorasan in eastern Iran.
The Kurdish premier pointed out that thousands of Kurds were forced to relocate in Khorasan, but they survived with the help of their language as their identity.
Barzani also congratulated Kurdish journalists around the world as 22nd April marks the 101st anniversary of first newspaper in Kurdish. He noted that the media could play a significant role in promoting the Kurdish culture and developing the language.
