ERBIL - Kurdish prominent leader and the president of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, attended on Saturday the first day of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa in Jordan.

According to a statement by Barzani’s headquarters, the top Kurdish official, alongside many other world leaders, attended a ceremony held for launching the international event.

The former president of Kurdistan Region was officially invited to the event by Jordan’s King Abdullah II.
