U.S Embassy in Iraq announced launch of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program for Iraqi students
The program was launched in 1946 by the late U.S. senator William J. Fulbright in association with the U.S. Congress, offering industrious and brilliant students and professionals around the globe studying opportunities at a U.S university.
The program will provide a Fulbright scholarship, meaning it will fund up to two years of studying for Master`s degree covering all disciplines and academic fields with the exception of medical students and others involved in clinical studies.
Funding will extend to include tuition, round-trip international travel, living stipends, and health insurance.
The program encourages both male and female students to apply.
Program requirements state that applicants must be Iraqi citizens who currently reside in Iraq, hold B.A. or B.S. degrees from an accredited higher-education institution at the time of application, and be proficient in English with the ability to score 80 or more on the internet-based TOEFL exam.
